What is TVOC? It is the abbreviation of Total Volatile Organic Compounds, total volatile organic compounds. It contains hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, oxygenated hydrocarbons and nitrogenous hydrocarbons. It includes: benzene series, organic chlorides, Freon series, organic ketones, amines, alcohols, ethers, esters, acids, and petroleum jelly compounds.
Indoors, TVOC mainly comes from the combustion of coal gas and natural gas, and the emission of construction and decoration materials. Especially paints, coatings and adhesives. The normal indoor TVOC concentration is between 0.2mg/m3 and 0.6mg/m3, and it can even be dozens of times higher during decoration construction. What's more serious is that the decoration materials only release 25% of the total amount during the air-drying process, and the rest will be discharged slowly over time, and the duration can even reach more than 2 years.
